Saraswati Puja and Morning Chaos: সরস্বতী পুজো মানেই বাঙালির আবেগ, বাসন্তী রঙের ছোঁয়া আর কুল না খাওয়ার কঠোর প্রতিজ্ঞা। মাঘের কনকনে শীতের সকালেও স্নান সেরে, কাচা বা নতুন জামাকাপড় পরে ছাত্রছাত্রীদের জটলা। পেটে ছুঁচো ডন দিচ্ছে, কিন্তু ‘অঞ্জলি’ না দেওয়া পর্যন্ত কিচ্ছুটি খাওয়ার জো নেই! তবে পুজোর সকালে একটা ‘কমন’ বা মজার সমস্যা প্রায়ই হয়—বাড়িতে বা পাড়ার প্যান্ডেলে সব আয়োজন রেডি, ফুল-বেলপাতা সাজানো, কিন্তু পুরোহিত মশাইয়ের দেখা নেই! তিনি হয়তো অন্য দশটা বাড়িতে পুজো সেরে হাঁপাতে হাঁপাতে যখন আসবেন, ততক্ষণে পেটের খিদে আর ধৈর্য দুই-ই শেষ। তাই পুরোহিতের ভরসায় অনন্তকাল বসে না থেকে, ভক্তিভরে নিজেরাই যাতে মা সারদার আরাধনা বা পুষ্পাঞ্জলি দিতে পারেন, তার জন্য এখানে দেওয়া হলো পুষ্পাঞ্জলি, প্রণাম ও হাতেখড়ির সম্পূর্ণ মন্ত্র।

ব্যাখ্যাঃ- হে দেবী, তুমি এই চরাচর বিশ্বের সারবস্তু, তোমার কণ্ঠে মুক্তার হার শোভা পাচ্ছে। তোমার হাতে বীণা ও পুস্তক সুশোভিত, হে দেবী ভারতী (সরস্বতী), তোমাকে আমি প্রণাম জানাই। মঙ্গলময়ী ভদ্রকালী ও দেবী সরস্বতীকে আমি নিত্য প্রণাম জানাই। বেদ, বেদাঙ্গ, বেদান্ত ও সমস্ত বিদ্যার আধার যিনি, তাঁকে বারবার নমস্কার। এই চন্দনযুক্ত ফুল ও বেলপাতার অঞ্জলি আমি ভক্তিভরে মা সরস্বতীর চরণে সমর্পণ করলাম।

ব্যাখ্যাঃ- হে মহিয়সী দেবী সরস্বতী, তুমি সাক্ষাৎ বিদ্যা এবং তোমার চোখ দুটি পদ্মফুলের মতো সুন্দর। তুমি বিশ্বরূপা ও বিশাল চোখের অধিকারিণী, আমাকে বিদ্যা দান করো, আমি তোমাকে প্রণাম করি। তুমি বিশ্বচরাচরের সার, গলায় মুক্তার হার, হাতে বীণা ও বই—হে দেবী ভারতী, তোমাকে আমি বারবার প্রণাম জানাই।

ব্যাখ্যাঃ- দেবী শ্বেতপদ্মে আসীন এবং পবিত্র সাদা ফুলে সুশোভিত। তিনি শুভ্র বস্ত্র পরিধান করেছেন এবং তাঁর অঙ্গে সাদা চন্দনের প্রলেপ লেপন করা আছে। তাঁর হাতে শ্বেত রুদ্রাক্ষের মালা, শরীর চন্দনে চর্চিত; তিনি শ্বেতবীণাধারিণী, শুভ্রবর্না এবং সাদা অলঙ্কারে ভূষিতা। সিদ্ধপুরুষ, গন্ধর্ব, দেবতা ও দানবগণ তাঁকে বন্দনা করেন এবং মুনি-ঋষিরা সর্বদা ভক্তিভরে তাঁর স্তব করেন। এই স্তোত্র পাঠ করে ত্রিসন্ধ্যায় (সকাল, দুপুর ও সন্ধ্যায়) যাঁরা জগৎমাতা সরস্বতীর স্মরণ করেন, তাঁরা সকল প্রকার বিদ্যা লাভ করেন।

ব্যাখ্যাঃ- পঞ্চমী তিথিতে ফুল, ধূপ, অন্ন-নৈবেদ্য ও জল দিয়ে দেবীর পূজা করতে হয়। এরপর দোয়াত ও কলম পূজা করে তবেই লেখা আরম্ভ করা উচিত। মাঘ মাসের শুক্লপক্ষের এই পঞ্চমী তিথি দেবী শ্রীয়ের (সরস্বতীর) অতি প্রিয়। এই তিথির পূর্বাহ্ণেই (সকালের ভাগে) সরস্বতী উৎসব পালন করা বিধেয়।
