“মন রে কৃষিকাজ জানো না” রামপ্রসাদ সেনের লেখা একটি বিখ্যাত শ্যামাসঙ্গীত। এখানে মানব দেহ বা জীবনকে একখণ্ড জমির সাথে তুলনা করা হয়েছে। কবি তার মনকে বলছেন যে, সে যদি ভক্তিভরে এই জমিতে চাষাবাদ করত, তবে তাতে সোনা ফলত, অর্থাৎ মোক্ষ বা মুক্তি লাভ হতো। কিন্তু অবহেলায় এই মানবজীবন পতিত বা অব্যবহৃত রয়ে গেছে। ‘কালী নাম’ দিয়ে বেড়া দেওয়ার কথা বলা হয়েছে যাতে পার্থিব মোহ বা ‘যম’ এই ফসল নষ্ট করতে না পারে। গানে গুরুদত্ত মন্ত্র বা বীজ রোপণ করে ভক্তির জল সিঞ্চন করার আহ্বান জানানো হয়েছে।
