Moheener Ghoraguli was a pioneering Indian rock group from Kolkata, established in 1975, widely regarded as the first Bengali rock band. Their music was a revolutionary blend of Baul folk, urban American folk, jazz, and rock, tackling social and personal themes that were distinct from the commercial film music of their time. Moheener Ghoraguli is known for Shangbigno Pakhikul O Kolkata Bishayak (1977), Aabaar Bochhor Kuri Pore (1995) and Prithibi Ta Naki (from Maya, 1997).
