His powerful poetry and music, collectively known as Nazrul Geeti, challenged the British Raj and preached equality, justice, and religious harmony, blending Hindu and Islamic traditions with a revolutionary spirit. Kazi Nazrul Islam is known for Bidrohi (1922), Agnibeena (1922) and Dhumketu (1922).
